
IWA's business focus is valuation and related issues.
IWA provides independent financial advice to managers, directors, shareholders
and investment analysts on all matters that relate to valuation. IWA specialises
in advisory services related to strategy review, business plan evaluation,
performance measurement, cost of capital, capital structure, investor communications
and value-based management compensation. The business was established in
1987, incorporated in 1992, and operates from New Zealand.
The Director and sole executive of IWA is Garth Ireland.
In the public sector IWA has been involved in value-based reporting processes,
state-owned enterprise commercial value audits and scoping studies and valuation-related
issues in the health, tertiary and housing sectors.
In the private sector IWA has worked with many companies on planning reviews,
identifying and valuing property rights, pricing strategies, introducing
value based-financial systems, performance measurement and investor communications.
IWA has also acted as an expert and arbitrator related to valuation and
investment management issues. Further, IWA has provided expert witness services
in judicial and regulatory reviews.
IWA has used financial economic frameworks in the New Zealand market since
1988 acting as the New Zealand agent for Stern Stewart & Co for the
introduction of companies to EVA® based incentive compensation schemes.
IWA strives to provide clients with state of the art economic interpretation
and financial analysis skills to help them address critical issues of strategy,
valuation, performance measurement and incentive compensation.
